USES: TERBUTHYLAZINE IS A HERBICIDE THAT BELONGS TO THE CHLORO-TRIAZINE FAMILY. IN PLANT, IT ACTS AS A POWERFUL INHIBITOR OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS. THE SUBSTANCE IS TAKEN UP THROUGH BOTH ROOTS AND LEAVES AND IS DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE PLANT AFTER BEING TAKEN UP THROUGH THE ROOTS. THIS ENABLES IT TO BE USED IN BOTH PRE-EMERGENCE AND POST-EMERGENCE TREATMENT. IT IS A SELECTIVE HERBICIDE FOR MAIZE, SORGHUM, POTATOES, PEAS, SUGAR CANE, VINES, FRUIT TREES, CITRUS, COFFEE, OIL PALM, COCOA, OLIVES, RUBBER, AND FORESTRY IN TREE NURSERIES AND NEW PLANTING. IT IS PARTICULARLY EFFECTIVE AGAINST ANNUAL DICOTYLEDONS.
